KG's Department:
MIS provides a nurturing environment that enhances its student’s intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development. The Kindergarten Classes enjoys the school year by performing various activities implemented in classrooms. The curriculum includes a variety of subjects and themes that kids relate to. We follow an interactive, ‘hands-on-activity’ approach to make education a fun learning process. If needed, individual attention is given to some children to cater to their special needs.
Days start with morning conversations that allow the children to discuss lessons with related songs, stories, and games. Weather, seasons, days of the week, colors, shapes, etc are also concepts learned during the conversation. This section of the day enhances the children’s linguistic and intellectual development as well as improves their listening skills.
Moreover, ‘paper-based’ activities such as coloring, tracing, painting, cutting/pasting, drawing, sequencing, and crafting are part of the daily activities in which they enhance the children’s motor development skills and creativity.
Free playtime is also an essential component for the improvement of the children’s social skills, by which students learn how to deal with one another through sharing, conversing, and playing.
In addition to the above, the kindergarten attends music and psychomotor education, where they focus on songs, musical instruments, rhythms, movements and physical activities. Furthermore, throughout the year, children celebrate several holidays that allow them to live the occasions by singing, dancing and carrying out various related projects.
